{ The best room in the house }

I sound like a total weirdo, but the favorite room in our house is the powder room.
There's so many things in it that I love!

Even though I think it's kinda' large for a powder room, I still couldn't squeeze in tight enough get full photos of the room. So, check out these little bits and pieces and image the whole room in your mind.

There's enough room for a dresser that I found in the trash and filled it with vintage suitcases.
I used it in my room at the Philadelphia Home Show last year and it was the most talked about piece in my room.

Above the dresser is a collection of miss-matched dishes.
And, mid-way up the walls are pine boards I lined up vertically and painted white

Across from the dresser I hung a mirror I recently purchased at Circa Dee.
I strung burlap bunting across it for a little whimsy.

I used a suitcase fastened to the wall to store extra rolls of toilet paper.

And, above the window I used an apron as a valance.

Can you see why I love this room so much?

{ DIY jewelry tree & my vanity }

I used this old table leg to create a spot to hang my necklaces.
It already had this screw coming out of the bottom, so the process was pretty simple.

I screwed the leg into a pine base I cut into a random sized rectangle.
Then, I flipped it over and added some more screws for stability.

Vintage hooks and bits were added to hold the fine jewels.
I use it on the vanity in my bedroom.
It's a great spot that I'm happy I carved out a little space for.

My burlap ottoman is the perfect stool for the vanity.
And a discarded crate stores everything from baby photos, to blankets.

Clear jars hold my brushes, lipstick and other and makeup necessities.

On the wall next to my vanity are the prints I purchased at the Country Living Fair last month.
They're made by Mary Gregory Studios. And probably my favorite thing in the house!

And that's my jewelry tree!

{ DIY Barnwood Shelf }

It's not secret that I love a free scrap.
Recently I gathered up some scraps to create this barnwood shelf. (I also have a thing for open shelving)

It's so simple to piece together something like this for your own home.
Here's how I did it...

I've had this piece of wood for a long time. I guess it's a tiny door (?)
I whitewashed it with some diluted white paint.

Added these. I call them "D" hooks. You can too.

Cheapo black metal brackets from the hardware store.

Do I really need to keep explaining this?

Here's the "sort of" before. There was a burlap cork board on the wall. But, I'm too hyper to take an accurate "before" photo.

After.

{ Clover Market }

Yesterday was our first day at Clover market.
Clover Market is a vintage and handmade outdoor market in Ardmore, PA.
It only happens 6 times a year. So when there's a Clover Market, you get there if you can!

I wanted to share some pictures of our tent from yesterday. The weather couldn't have been more perfect and the crowds were just as beautiful.
I'm so thrilled to be a part of the Clover Community!

Here's a little of what we offered at Clover...

{How to Decorate for Fall - without Orange}

I added these little cuties this weekend.

Modge Podge came in handy, and a few gust napkins from B, B & Beyond.
