french china on display

There seems little point in collecting pretty china if you can never see it.  Displaying china has been popular through the generations and is something I still enjoy today.  Here are a few examples I found and from my home
.
It seems to work just as well if we mix and match, not all the same size or the same shape, although many will prefer the uniformity of one colour or one design.

I do have a special affection for old french  soupières, or tureens,  just love
their silhouette in the first picture against the darker backdrop
